First Post... First Paid Wedding

Been watching and reading this site for the longest time now...

Horray for my first actual words...

Another horray for my first decently paid wedding shoot...

here are a few pics of the over 2000 that ended up being taken. please give some feed back. The outdoor formals were kinda blown. Wasn't paying attention to sun. Won't ever happen again. In the process of fixing them up as best as possible.

Great job, especially if this is your first paid gig. They should be very happy with them.

If I had to nitpick I would say fix the horizon line in #3, but that would be it from me.

I love them, but the way #11 jumped out at me, it looked like he is eating her nose LOL. Not sure if that is a good thing or bad, because it made me laugh...

Thats a great ring shot! Her hands are backwards on the grip though for the golf shot :)

yea... that's a constant battle between me and the wife. haha. We ended up providing with and without the effect.

I like the pictures! The vending machine shot is my favorite. Just makes me smile.

Are you willing to share some of the before and after from the "blown" shots? I'm curious to see what problems you ran into and how you addressed them (and see if it's similar to what I've done before ;)).

ohh... they were bad. haha. the wedding party was moving slow, family was moving slow, so we got behind on the formals. Being the first large scale wedding we have done, we were to focucsed on getting it done and just didn't pay attention to where we had set up... the sun was off to the side... horrible shadows!

I'll put up a few soon. Still not done with those.

very cool pics, like #3 with the flare in black and white. And yeah, as a golfer, I'd just got to criticize the backwards grip in #4, haha...but the pic itself is very nice

great shot, but timing on #11 looks like dad is kissing her nose. difficult to gauge depth perception.
