Had some local requests for rig shots so Im gonna make the plunge and pick up the stuff, however Im wondering what other gear I should be looking at? Right now the widest lens I have is a 17-55. Will this be wide enough and how does IS handle rig shots? Also as far as filters go I have a 4stop ND and a 2stop polarizer filter, will that be enough for mid day outdoor shots?

This (http://www.rigshots.com.au/howto1.htm#Filters_for_rig_shots) might help.

IF your lens will allow it, you could stack two polarizers for an infinite amount of ND.
