These are just beautiful! Keep dipping1 ;)
The colors are terrific, pretty consistent, which is hard. #5 seems slightly underexposed and OFF, but in shadow, it's quite lovely. What a wonderful couple to shoot. Congrats!

What camera and lens were you using for these. Beautiful and crystal clear.

I love Indian weddings!! How colorful! Can't wait to shoot one of them myself! :) Were you second shooting? You did a fantastic job.

I agree; spectacular colors, great exposure, good use of light and DOF. I agree that #5 is a little under, though still pleasing. It doesn't appear out of focus to my feable eyes, though.
I, too, would like to hear about your camera/lens combo. I'm guessing 5D2 and the 85 1.2?

Thanks, Suzy! They were fun to shoot. I see what you mean about #5, I've cranked the exposure by 1/2 stop. Better?

5D with 85L II. My favourite combination. :)

Actually, I thirded. Lead photographer had asked me to second but when they found out I had no experience they hired another second. I begged for the chance to third so that I would get some experience and now I'll be seconding for them this coming weekend. They will be doing their own PP, I'm interested to see what they do with my stuff.

Thanks for the comment! I've replaced #5 and you'll see you weren't far off on your combo.

Thanks! I'm hoping to get into it a bit. We'll have to see how that goes, it seems to be a pretty closed scene here and I don't feel like doing the Craigslist Cheapie route. :)

I like 'em lot - If I were to offer any criticism, it would be that the crop is a tad too tight for me in #6 and if she is/they are sittin' on a motorcycle in #4, I TOTALLY wanna see it!
3, 7 & 9 are awesome - great feel, great emotion - looks like the people in front of and behind the camera were having fun!

Really nice work, Geno.
#7 is a shot I bet those two will go back to again and again. The 3D "pop" of that image just screams 85L. Very nicely done on the timing on that one. :)
I'd bet the bride loves #5. She looks gorgeous in that shot and you've captured her very well.

I was holding the reflector and wasn't the primary photographer so WYSIWYG. I did get a couple more shots on the bike, some weren't so good though. I'll post a couple below.

Thanks!
Really nice work, Geno.
Thanks, Brett. There's no doubt that the right equipment helps. :)

This couple really were an easy entry for me. I'm thinking Indian weddings may be the way to go, no concern about blowing out the white dresses.

Thanks, Tiff. I'm not sure which ones she's seen, hopefully I'll find out this weekend as I'm seconding for the same photographer.

What a fantastic set.
Is it me, but they seem really high in #7, was it a step hill or did they jump off of something, great effect.

Thanks guys.
The street was pretty flat, they're pretty athletic and I just caught them right at their best I guess. :-)

I thought so. The fact that the couple weren't looking at your camera in shots they were looking in a certain direction gave it away.
I wish people would state up front their role in a wedding. I see many posts about "shot my first wedding!" and they later admit they were just attending and took some shots or were a 2nd or 3rd shooter as was the case with you.

As the OP was there in an official capacity, I don't see how the thread title is false or otherwise misleading; if it doesn't live up to your assumptions, so be it. Further, I don't see how his capacity affects the artistic merits of the photos - I hardly think that the bride, groom or any guests are going to look at one of his photos and think, 'hmmm - nice, but I wonder which of the three paid photographers took it?'

The obvious wedding photographers that have commented could tell I wasn't the primary photographer and seemed to like what I've posted. These were mostly candid shots that were not taken at the same time the primary was shooting. Some of the them have been used on the primary's blog and all of them have been picked for inclusion into their album.
Sorry, I didn't make it clear in my original post that I wasn't the primary but don't think it matters to the images I took.
Edit: I also didn't mention the two video cameras that were shooting at the same time as well.
