I had the fortunate oppurtunity to meet and have a drink :lol: with IndyJeff last weekend which would not have been possible without this wonderful forum. Just wanted to thank Jeff for sharing his professional knowledge and to P.O.T.N. for making these types of things possible.

Jeff is a good guy. I've come close to meeting him on a couple trips through Indiana, but it just didn't happen. I've met a few people on the forum in person, though, and they've all been just great. I'm hoping to meet a few more this summer if things work out.

I don't believe in online romance, but friendship is certainly attainable, and this is one of the best places I know of for that.

One of the members I met last year is a woman. I don't know if any of you remember Diesel Girl---she still visits the forum from time to time. She bought my extra 10D and 17-40L and is using them for shooting body building contests.

I don't know if I'll ever get to Ireland or not, but if I do, I plan to stop by and introduce myself to Marie for a quick lesson on the use of emoticons..

And agree with you Belmondo, Marie would top the list of people I would like to meet. I think she is like the godmother of this forum (not implying age or anything, just her importance to this forum).
