I currently have a crumple 7 million dollar home to carry my gripped xsi, 24-70 (usually mounted), 70-200 f4, and a flash. I plan to eventually upgrade to a 5D classic (maybe with a grip), swap the 70-200 with a 2.8, and add a 17-40 into the mix.

I like the 7mdh a lot, especially because I got it for around $50 new a while back from the steep-and-cheap deal. However, I think its too big when I want to go out with a simple one-lens only setup. So now I知 looking for a smaller bag, big enough to fit the eventual 5D/70-200 2.8 combo. I think that値l be the biggest one-lens setup I値l carry around.

I read a lot about how great domke bags are and am starting to like the way they look. Which size domke should I look at to fit what I need? I知 also open to buying another crumple, a smaller millon dollar home that can fit my one-lens need is ok as well. Will a 4mdh fit? I知 not looking for any backpack type bags.

Thanks for any input.

Try the Think Tank Photo Holsters. Get the one that fits the 5D + 70-200 with hood reversed when the holster is extended.

5D with grip and a 70-200? The F3x will take that; you might also look at the F6. There really aren't any Domkes I can think of that are designed for a gripped body and single large lens; either of the two I named above will have a bit of extra space around the camera.

will the F6 Little Bit Smaller Bag fit the 5D Grip / 70-200 combo?

The price is certainly right
