hey everyone! I have been away for a while and haven't posted much. Sorry, if you noticed that is!
Here are a couple of pics form this past weekends wedding! Kelly and Justin are such a sweet couple! Crazy in love too! We had a bit of a scare though. The day after the engagement session (in July) Kelly was diagnosed with H1N1!
Of course after this everyone around her is very protective, and on her wedding day it was 31 degrees Celsius outside and the heat got to her. She fainted halfway through our photo session! It was the first time I have had a person faint at a wedding on me!
anyway.. we did get some good stuff before and somewhat after.
Take a peek, any CC is very welcome!! Also, I tried a different approach on processing these, let me know what you think of that too. Please and Thank you!

They are pretty good - the second one could have used a little fill flash - but otherwise I think you did a good job.

I like them. I just wish the bride would smile differently, if that makes sense.

Not much you can do about that - I noticed that also. Sometimes it has to do with the comfort your subject has with you the photographer - I try to build quickly a relaxed and fun atmosphere but there are still those that have a tough time with the camera.

Joelene these are amazing!! Is that Arts Hotel btw? I love that place! Too funny, I think Tricia and I were there shooting the getting ready photos there at the same time you did the wedding! :):)
I dig the pp on these, too.
As for the smile...I had clients who were really relaxed in front of the camera and pose very well but would barely smile, it's just their way. Some people are not happy with their teeth, that can also happen.

Very nice!
How come there are so many Wedding Photographers from Edmonton and Calgary here but none from Vancouver?

Of course there is! Make her laugh! :)
Or tell her not to smile this time...

I think you are right, she seems "racoon-ish" doesn't she?

I agree Inku, I didn't realize all the images I had chosen to blog she had the same expression. I do have others with big smiles and what not. She did seem to get that "vacant" look often though.

Thank you, zincozinco. What I mean is I processed them differently than I normally process my images. These are a bit darker than my "usual" stuff and the tone mapping is all new to me as well! I thought I would give it a shot.

Svetlana, yup it is the Hotel Arts! Our ceremony was pool side, I thought for sure I was going to fall in! Sorry I missed you two! We should go for coffee soon.

Thank you Geno, because Calgary Rocks... I can't say the same for Edmonton...that is only because I don't live there ;)
