Body: 5D

Zoom Lenses:
17-40F4 L
24-105F4 L **new addition, I'm testing it at the moment but would like your opinions/advise on this one.**
70-300IS

Primes:
50mm F1.8 **gets the job done vs the 1.4**
85mm F1.2 L II
Tamron 14mm 2.8 Fisheye (should be in sometime within the next two weeks)

Flash:
580 EX II.

Does this make sense? Should I opt for the 24-70?
Am I out of my mind to believe I can shoot the church stuff with my primes and a flash, and then use my f4's + plus a flash for the rest? The problem with my kit was that I usually opted for the F4 series lenses, and relied on my primes for lowlight.

I would just like some opinions from some pros, or frequent wedding shooters. I've shot a few weddings these past few months, and I've worked out some of my quibbles by getting a domke bag. (I was changing lenses often and it has helped me tremendously)

I'll say this: I'm happy with the setup I'm using. (minus the 24-105 because I haven't shot a wedding with it yet) Would I be happier if I had bought a 135L or a 24-70?

need two bodies for wedding photography.

16-35L
24-70L
70-200 f/2.8L IS

with
24L or 35L (or both)
50L or 85L (or both)
135L optional, not necessary

Fisheye optional, not necessary

580EX recommended, additional off-camera flash also helpful.

You can exchange standard zoom range with primes in similar range, but the zooms are for general purpose and primes are important for low light or narrower DoF.

I understand the need for two bodies and it's been something I've been looking into for a little while now.

I really don't have the funds for too much (most of the equipment you've listed) I'd say my budget is about $2500, so my interest is having a workhorse lens so that I'm switching a lot less.

Please invest in another body before you buy another lense. There is nothing worse than having a screw up with your camera and mark my words it will happen. We have all dealt with it. You can manage with two lenses but you cannot manage with one body dude, no matter how good it is ...

I use a 18-55 IS, 50 1.8, 85 1.8, and 200 2.8L. Lately, I've used a 28-135 IS when a lot is happening real fast. That lens surprised me. Thank God for the sun (Son)!
