Ok.. here's a conundrum for you to help me solve.
I am slowly, but surely, building a website to hold my photos. I want to use a stylized photo (photoshopped, mostly transparent) of a Rebel XT on the site in a banner.
I need a good picture of my Rebel XT but to take one, I would need a decent camera, of which I have exactly one, my Rebel XT. I do have a decent film camera, but it is in need of a serious, professional cleaning.
So, what do you think? Are there tricks to shooting pictures in a mirror? Is there a better way?

What about setting up a mirror and using the self timer to get out of the shot so you can get a clean shot of the camera without you being in it? It would be pretty easy to set up an all white background behind the camera to make for a nice clean background that would make extraction of the camera decently easy. just be sure to not use a flash when shooting into the mirror, it can make for some prety nasty flares that can be hard to work around/with in photoshop. It would be eaiser to add one in photoshop than it would be to take it out.
not sure if that gave you any real help, but that was my quick brainstorm before i wander off to sleep for tonight.

What about asking some other POTN members that have the XT AND another camera to take a nice pic of it and email it to you ?

I think I have just the background... left-overs from when my son did school projects. :D

I don't know if you resolved it yet but here is an Idea. Go to best Buy or somehere like that when its not busy ask the sales person if you can take a picture of their display XT.
