Speedlite NISSIN Di622 PORTA-FLASH ??

Has anyone heard of this flash and wheter or not it is any good? I am just getting started and on a tight budget. I am using a Canon XSI. Please advise.

I just got this flash and i think it works great! Only negative i see with it is there is no plug in for a wireless transmitter. but it does work well with its ability to sync with the camera's pop up flash. Also i think i will be buying the 866 once i have a little more money saved up for it. so i hope you give it a try, cuz for the money you will spend on it i do not think you will be disappointed!

From what I've seen reading about it, it seems to be a pretty nice affordable flash that will do ETTL. It doesn't seem to be comparable in features to the Canon models it competes with, but would do fine for the average user.

Most flashes (Even Canon) don't have plugs for wireless transmitters. You have to go up to the 580EX II to get that (or mod one yourself), although it's easy to add aftermarket wireless transmitters or extension cords/hotshoe adapters for off-camera use. Just make sure the wireless transmitters are compatible first.

I will let you know there was a small batch that was not usable on xxD cameras, Rebels work fine.

I have Di622 and Di866 and both works well.

Yes you can use it as wireless flash with Rebel Popup flash as it can be triggered by both optical and radio....
