In different threads on this site, I have seen many references to rental equipment, including lenses. Can someone point me to a reputable vendor to rent some long lenses (greater than 400)

Thanx,
-Steve

You are lucky to be near big city.

I have only been able to find rental options in big cities. Don't get me wrong some small cities may have local shops that do rentals but it is rare. I have rented in Miami a few times when I was living in Ft Lauderdale

It's kind of hard to find rentals sometimes. I live in CIncinnati and have found only one camera shop that rents lenses. Then they only rent used lenses that people have sold/traded in, so they may or may not have what you are looking for. Of course I keep looking hoping maybe there's a shop that I haven't found that has a regular selection of rentals.

http://www.lensrepro.com/

Adorama http://www.adorama.com/

are just 2 of many close to you.

give them a call . You might not get the professional rate but I am sure you can work something out if you have proper credit.
