Does anyone know if this Sandisk reader supports SDHC cards? I read somewhere it does (forum post elsewhere but not to be relied upon) the spec doesnt mention it but as its discontinued info is a bit light on the ground.
I'm after something small to take on my travels and have a space exactly this big in my hdd carry case. cant find anything else that does both and only cf and sd that supports sdhc. needs to be usb as my netbook doesnt have firewire
any other suggestions if this one doesnt?

It does, I use it with Sandisk Extreme III 4 and 8gb SDHC cards.
One other thing I like about it- each slot appears as a separate drive letter under windows.

I have 2 of them, and I'll also confirm that SDHC works fine in them.

Do you really need to have both SDHC and CF? I noticed you said you needed USB "as my netbook doesnt have firewire". Any netbook I've seen has at least one SDHC slot available, so for that all you'd need would be a CF reader.

you're right, my netbook does have a sd card reader, however my macbook pro doesnt and will need to use it for that as well
also this unit is the perfect size and shape to fit into my portable hdd case, so its also about the size as much as the reader part

A good decision. I have two of them - bought one and thought I'd left it in Africa so bought a replacement - found the original a few days later. D'oh!

I have gone through several readers and IMO the best one on the market is the Lexar Professional Dual Slot reader that has already been referenced. It is very fast and compact for travel and will read UDMA CF, CF, SD and SDHC cards. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/537132-REG/Lexar_RW035_001_Professional_UDMA_Dual_Slot_USB.ht ml
