Not sure if my photos are up to the pro quality ones that get posted here but I thought I'd give it a go anyway!

Took this at Thruxton, Hampshire (UK) a couple of weeks ago. I was hampered by a race marshal on one side of my field of view and a press photographer on the other but I just managed to position myself so I could shoot through them and catch the corner.

I hope you like it!

Kevin.

Kevin - nice shot, I have never done the Thruxton circuit, just a bit far for me.

was this during the recent touring car meeting?

I try to do as many of the touring car meets as I can and have some similar but not quite as sharp shots from Snetterton last year, Tom Chilton in his "Star Wars" Honda, couldn't get quite close enough either - so nice shot and thanks for sharing.

Yes, this was the Thruxton BTCC meeting. I was based at the Complex for most of the day - it was so busy it wasn't worth moving.

For the last race of the day, I moved to the Chicane thinking most people would have gone home but it was still difficult to see past all the spectators. I think it's much busier this year than it has been for a while.

Thruxton is my 'local' circuit but I usually go to Brands Hatch too and actually trekked all the way to Donnington for the first rounds this year.

Thanks for the comments!

Nice shot. Sometimes two wheels is enough. ;-)

Looks like a pretty darn good shot to me! That thing must have been a handful when all 4 came back into contact.

Great capture! I hope that wasn't his line on every lap... http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif

Actually, he was doing that pretty much every lap! I have several other shots that are practically the same. That's why I like the Chicane - nice high kerbs!

It didn't seem to affect his speed or direction at all. Mind you, he might have had some back ache the next day!
