I shot this event back in May 2009 and got too busy to process them. Well here are a few from the shoot.

This was an SCCA Rallyx event in Cannon Falls, MN. Mainly Subarus were there, but there was an Audi and a couple Saabs as well. Plus a guy that rented a Chevy Cobalt and raced that... lol

Excellent stop action. Thanks for posting.

Not bad for a Noink.:p

Mental note: Don't buy a rental car and watch out for people from Wabasha with Subarus.

Most of these Subarus were from the Twin Cities.

You are right about not buying a rental car though... lol

Thanks for the comment. I camped out on this pin turn I think they called it. It was a spot on the track where they entered through a gate and then could take any line they wanted to get around the end cone. They could go wide and try to carry speed, or they could shoot straight across and flip the car around the cone. They could even choose clockwise or counter-clockwise.

Fun time. I didn't run for two reasons:
I would rather shoot pics.
My car would fall apart if I raced it. It's an old Saab approaching the 300,000 mile mark.

sometimes the stop motion doesn't look bad. when dirt is flying from a p'd off subie is one of those times!

processing late is better than never.

curious to see how they'd have turned out if you slowed the shutter down to 1/125 or there about.

I tried that with a few of the shots and they didn't look right to me. The wheels showed motion, but not enough motion and I couldn't make out the detail in the dirt like in these photos.
