Shipping costs from UK to Canada

Has anyone ever received items shipped from Bournemouth, Dorset U.K to canada before? What was the cost?

What is the approx size/weight of the parcel we are asking about? What method of shipping? Prices will fluctaute greatly. Just as an example, I shipped a 70-300 zoom lens from Canada to Brazil for $11.50 CAN ( about $9.50 USD). In fact Canada Post will ship a small parcel thats less than 1kg anywhere on the planet by surface mail for that $11.50. Less than 2kg its $16.50 CAN. Anything more than 2kg better get your credit card out. :)
