Greetings,

This is a question for you fellows/ladies out there who do Glamour and Nude photography.

I was wondering where you get your prints. Do you always print your own or do you use a professional lab.

The reason I was wondering is I have accounts with both WHCC and the new MPIXPRO (just recently signed up for that one since I liked mpix for my zenfolio stuff).

Now I guess I could email them directly but I was wondering if any of you have printed your glamour and nude photos through an online lab for pros.

I've used WHCC for awhile for prints that I don't sell online but never for this type of photography and up to this point have only sold the CDs.

Lately I have been asked more and more for prints of these photos by their subjects and was wondering if these places will do so (or even places like mpix - nonpro which my zenfolio uses).

While I could go out and buy a higher end printer I really don't want to have to deal with that stuff (paper, ink, cutting, etc. etc. etc.).

Anyone who could help with this info I would appreciate it.

I have used both Mpix and Printroom for my glamour and nude stuff. I used to use a local department store lab, but they changed their rules recently.

Thank you Mark, being an ex-cop I recall getting called out to the local one hour (a little over ten years ago) when they got some "explicit" photos. No "porno" but they would have fallen into the "glamour & nude" category (they were of someone's girlfriend posing nude in and around their truck).

Didn't want to get involved in an "across state lines" incident and have the feds knocking on my door lol.

In addition to what's been said, if I was shooting glamour/nude and my model looks "under 35", I'd make sure that the first shot in the series is a headshot of the model holiding up his/her driver's license, with the photo ID and DOB clearly visible. That should clear any doubts on the legality of the shots.

I have used ezprints.com before with no problem. Just another option for you....

Good idea lol.

Thanks beach. May check them out but having accounts with both WHCC and Mpixpro is bad enough LOL... I wish I could set my zenfolio to automatically use one or the other instead of just mpix "regular" but I guess I will have to keep doing it manually lol.

I know what you mean. But then again, I fill all my zenfolio orders manually. Something about seeing the prints myself before the client does.
