Not sure about this one. It was a quick shot....right before I had my hubby get her away from the puddle (so she wouldn't mess up the dress!). I'm not sure I'm liking the compositon....mainly the half a head thing going on. On the other hand, I think it's s uch a fun shot. Hmmmm, what do you all think?

The capture is just awesome! As far as pp goes, imho you went a tad bit too far with the clarity (if using lightroom) since her the shadows on her face and arm give her a 'dirty'/grungy look. While i'm a big fan of what did you colorwise, those shadows on her arms and face kinda bother me, but that's it :). Oh and i feel the crop is just fine.

I absolutely adore this shot. The expression on her face, from what we can see, is priceless. She's really loving the mess she's making. I agree that it is overly sharpened, but otherwise great PP!!

Hmmm, yeah....I can see why you guys think it's over sharpened. Guess I overdid it when I sharpened it for web upload....ooops!

You have a great, fun pic there. Enjoy it for what it is. I've been reading Hot Shoe Diaries by McNally who is considered a great photographer and I'm constantly thinking how much his work would get shredded on forums like this one if posted anonymously. They are often technically flawed in some way, but great photos anyway.

I agree. This is a beautiful shot. I find that I like the spontaneous shots more than the posed ones w/ kids. They are more playful and fun when they want to be.
