Well the Red Arrows have been pretty busy in the UK over the last week. Yesterday they dropped in to the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, thankfully they'd also arranged some cracking weather.

This was my first time shooting fast moving jets so it was a bit of a learning process, plus I felt a little hindered by my focal length. Whilst the 70-200mm f4l proved great for some shots I think I could have done with another 200mm at times for some nice close up head-ons. Anyway here are a selection of shots, all feedback greatly received.

Cheers

Paul

These are pretty nice. I'd crop some off the right of #1:

Nice shots - could be worth cropping a few if you haven't already. Like the processing on no.4. Blue skies (rare here) make such a difference.
A longer lens is useful when taking photos of the Red Arrows, but then you always wish you had a wider lens when they do the heart and some of their other manoeuvres!!
