View Full Version : WORLD WIDE PHOTO WEEK: Part 177 - Side Lighting

Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This week the theme is "SIDE LIGHTING". As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for!
Here are the rules:
1. Shots need to be taken between sunrise Monday and sunset the following Sunday. Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snap shots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!
2. Post your shots at any time during the week.
3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e.,embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=194511)
An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO DAY INDEX (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=170603)
That's it! Have fun!

Been away for a while but back in the saddle once again :)
This one sort of fits the bill, really strong sunlight coming in over my left shoulder.

These are my desperation shots.
They are not what I planned.
But I ran out of time and took these this morning in desperation.

BLS, I'm happy to go with the flow
Rush hour would be a little boring for me though, one man and his dog out for a walk would be about it for me

Yeah, Sundowner, my rush hours are like yours, and I LOVE it!
If Joayne is not back, I'll start the new thread in a few hours.
Meanwhile, everyone, let's hear what you'd like to shoot this week!

I know this is pretty late but here are some shots shot with some harsh, afternoon, side lighting. I was at a picnic on Saturday with a large group of friends.
This was a bubble blowing contest... had to come chew some brand new gum and then be the fastest to blow a bubble. It was a team relay. Pretty funny! :)

Relay teams starting another event... Bat race (you'll see what it is in the next photo)

Spin 10 times with your head on the handle...

Makes you dizzy and fall.

Took over 300 shots but that's all for this thread! :)
