so....i've been going down this road with my photography.....using natural light.....clean backgrounds.....simplicity......

but i've been told that there really isn't a "wow" element to my work....people say it's good....but nothing really says "wow"....

what are your thoughts on my work as a whole? what do you think works? what do you think doesn't work? my strengths? my weaknesses? what do you perceive my style as?

i have a portfolio on model mayhem which you can view:

i didn't feel i should post just a few photos here as that doesn't allow one to get the scope of my work....

please let me know your thoughts!

It'll probably be good idea for you to post up some representative shots here, people here often give more feedback on shots they can see rather than following links.

In my opinion, all these shots are great "headshot" material for the models portfolios - you're doing a great job of transmitting the models looks and personality, but they don't scream out as being great fashion shots in their own right.

I'm the last one to advise in work of this nature, but take a good look in the G/N and People sections here, ask question, share experiences...

very true....they aren't meant to be fashion shots....but maybe that is what's missing......

I think it really depends on what your goal was for the photo shoot. As was mentioned before, if your goal was "headshot' material, this was the way to go. If you're looking to make them "pop" a bit, maybe taking shots outside of the studio? Change your POV, etc etc.
