I have cheap e-bay triggers and receiver (i think cactus, there is no
sign on product) but i find it useless cause they can sync up just
to 1/250. So that means that i cannot use lenses wide open (outside).
Is there something better but not expensive as PW-s?

AFAIK there isn't anything cheap that'll do higher sync speeds than 200 or 250th. PW's and RadioPoppers are about all that'll let you do shots higher than sync-speed.

I've never had the need for HSS outside, so I haven't looked into it much. There may be other options, but those are all I know of.

EDIT: I think the RP's only do this with studio strobes... are you using strobes or speedlites?

Radio poppers extend the canon wireless system, they dont trigger studio lights.

If you want to go above your camera's max sync, you have to to with the poppers or the new pocket wizards, or go the cheap route and get a 24ft ocf cord from flashzebra.com

That's interesting... the only reason I knew that RadioPoppers went over sync speed is b/c I saw it on a blog (zarias (http://www.zarias.com/?p=281)) where he used them with an Alien Bee strobe @ 1/8000th. He may have it rigged somehow that's not "normal", though.

I might have to look that up, but mine are velcroed to the flashes and only do one thing, transfer the canon infrared/optical signal to radio signals and back again. There is no sync outlet on them whatsover.

I looked the blog, it didnt say how they did it, but that they did it... not particularly helpful.

I'm using speedlites.

Hmm...If you're looking for bokeh, maybe use a shorter focal length and get closer to the subject to compensate for the small aperture? Just a thought - I don't really know what I'm talking about.

Canon speedlites? if so try the canon wireless system and use hss mode. Otherwise your options are pretty expensive, poppers or the new pocket wizards
