Thought I'd share some shots from yesterday at Silverstone of the WTCC cars at the end of yesterday's session - pre qualifying, in the queue for FIA checking..among a few others.
There was mostly the big old GT cars out yesterday...I'll post some of those later this weekend if you are inetrested.....here's the TC's to be going on with....

Great pictures! Give us American alfisti something to watch. Too bad no current Alfas in the US. I love watching all Touring car racing, but we do not get to see them until the end year after the season is completed. Please, keep the pictures coming.

Thanks Andrew...you can look at the WTCC site for lots of info to get your fix of touring cars! http://www.fiawtcc.com/
The Alfas are doing quite well this season so far, I think they're in second place after BMW.
Here's a couple more...comments welcome.

Nice shots, I like the first one, kind of like the perspective and of course love the Astons.
Cheers

Thanks Ian, much appreciated. There is something about an Aston Martin that makes a man of a certain age turn to mulch...I feel it too!

Same here. The morning sky makes that first shot. Great eye!

Isn't it just....and the noise it makes could make a grown man weep!! The pair of Astons picked up 1st & 2nd yesterday in the race, with 3rd place going to a Maserati some 11 seconds later!

Thank you. Actually it was late afternoon, about the same time as the shots below it.
I wanted to get the cars in the queue from the rear but wasn't sure how it would come out shooting into the sun. I did a few at different settings, but this one came out OK.

Out of curiosity, what settings did you use to get that sun-sky shot? It's great!

OMG. No idea of how jealous I am.
I live in a little craphole of the world, and nothing like these events have ever, nor will ever happen here. *sigh*
Great images!

Thank you!
It was 1/125 @ ISO 100 & f/16 plus a little levels tweak in PS. There's a little flare behind the Alfa, but it's a lot better than the other shots I took from the same viewpoint!

Thanks! Have a look here...you may not get the WTCC or F1 cars but you do have a couple of decent motorsport tracks in NS
