Step right up folks, spin the wheel, which one will it be?! Where it stops, nobody knows!

:D

You can choose more than one if you'd like.

Oh and it should be 100 2.8 macro, not 28 macro...

24-105 f2,8 IS
100 f2,8 IS Macro
200 f2,8 IS Macro

I voted 70-200 f/2.8 but boy would I like to see a new 100-400. That lens is in a real need of an upgrade. It's a very nice lens but it's IS is so old that it's almost useless.

I reckon they might update the 70-200, Nikon did it and they can't be seen to be falling behind! I'm not sure about the 100-400 though, it's quite an old design, but that's what makes it affordable (not for me, but in general!)

You didn't list the 24-105 f/2.8 IS in your choices.
That's my guess.

The 24-105 2.8L IS is just wishful thinking IMHO.

It would be an interesting lens though. :)

I hope canon can update the 17-85mm lens to 16-90mm, that would be perfect.

I would be happy if they just improved all the problems with the current model. I highly doubt that will happen though, which is a shame because this lens covers a great zoom range on crop.

I dunno about a 24-105/2.8IS, but it is entirely possible that either that lens or a 24-70IS are coming. CR pointed out this morning that B&H list the 5d2+24-105 kit as discontinued; could be a typo or a premature edit

I'd love to see a 35L update... :)

It's an error.

Their twitter says:
Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital Camera Kit with Canon 24-105mm f/4L IS USM AF Lens - http://*******/HidY2 - Back Order
about 11 hours ago from *******

As does the website:

While it does say it's on backorder, it also says this
"We have no delivery date at this time. "

LOL because it's Canon.

I think Canon are trying to balance production with demand as much as possible. Which often leads to lack of stock because they can't get it 100% right all the time and it seems they're tending on the "just enough" approach (probably due to the economic situation).

But will all the rumours that fly around this time of year, it just makes people nervous.

It would be an interesting lens though. :)Yeah, I think it's unlikely to happen anytime soon, but we can hope, right?

I have a feeling a new or updated macro lens featuring the new Hybrid IS will appear before the end of the year.

It's due for the same update they gave the 24L :)

Canon will have to release there new IS in the next few months so maybe they will choose the most popular lens to start with such as a 24-70 or the 24-105. Or maybe a popular longer zoom such as the 70-200 or 100-400 because it needs the IS more. I'll take a guess that it'll be the 24-70 f2.8 L replacement, because this is a popular pro lens and there must have been many requests to have it with IS.
