I have already learned that you cannot trust the lcd screen on the 10d, so I am learning to use histograms. I shot of series of pictures in RAW today. I had to get them right and new this would give me the most flexibility. I opened the RAW files using Canon's File Viewer Utility and adjusted the exposure compensation to the desired level. I saved them as JPEG files and then reopened them in Photoshop Elements 2.0 for final sharpening. To my surprise the images looked nothing like they did when I had them open in the Canon program. I ended up having to adjust the brightness/contrast as much as +50 brightness and +20 contrast. What do you think went wrong? Is this a common occurence or did I do something wrong? Let me know what you think.
