I made a newbie mistake, and hi-jacked another thread, so here is where my pics should be. It's my first attempt at panning and action pics. I used my EF 70-300 IS USM lens for the first time.

You should be pleased with these, some super action and lovely shots.
They might be oversharpened a bit,but some cracking action with excellent shutter speeds.

Here's a pic of the man himself, Kenny McKinstry, who won the main event for a record 11th time ! Needless to say, he didn't win it on his bike ! He used his Scooby for that.
I must say, the standard of photography on here is top-notch. It just shows me I have some way to go yet, to achieve the results I want.

This beautiful Rapid-fit look-a-like MkII below, was fitted with a Millington Diamond 2.5 litre engine. The noise it made was incredible ! Those 2.5 engines are kicking out 380+BHP !!

I have a habit of doing that. Actually, that's one of the reasons I joined up, so I could hopefully make good use of the more experienced advice on here.

ST-PHILIP. These are superb shots for your first attempt at panning well done, on my monitor they look a tad overexposed, nothing that couldn't be fixed in Photoshop.

I reckon I had the exposure compensation set too high on my camera. I'm still at the stage of experimenting to find the ideal settings. Unfortunately, the weather has been so bad over here (N.Ireland), that I don't get much chance to practice my outdoor photography. Cheers for the advice though, guys.

Ah that's very naughty! But in my mind these deserve their own thread anyway, very nice shots, well done!

Nice collection there, enjoyed them all, cracking event and good to see Kenny back in the winners enclosure again - I think they should rename that event The Mc Kinstry Park Stages :)

Either that, or make him compete on his push-bike ! I thouroughly enjoyed the event. It was extremely well organised, with all the stages starting within a couple of minutes of the stated time. Well done to all concerned.
Thanks for all the comments, guys.
