View Full Version : Critiquing images, both here and at PhotoSig...

There's been a few posts here from people at PhotoSig... and from both here and other groups I've heard that people don't critique images because they "don't know how..." - well, basically, if you have a mind of your own and can say what you like and don't like, you can critique an image...

I've written a really short article on how to write a critique, mostly for people who reckon they can't - if you'd like to be more involved, and maybe help both other people and yourself take better shots, you might want to have a look at:

Honestly, if we can get more people making meaningful comments about our photo's, maybe we can improve them!!

Don't we all love critique? Three thumbs up do nothing for me, because all my pictures can be improved. I'd rather hear suggestions for improvement than 'great pic, good shot', etc.

BUT there is soo little time to write a good critique. Mostly I limit myself to pics that I like, not the one I dislike. I view mostly to learn and improve my technique. Obivously is than becomes easy to write: good shot,nice pics. Kinda going around in circles.
