Will the Canon 220ex ii work with the ST-E2 transmitter?

Hi folks,

I have been scratching my head for a long time over off-camera flashes and now I got the 'ARRHHHGG' feeling today and decided to f**k every cheaper alternative and bought a 580 EXII for my 40D.

Now I want a second slave flash and a wireless trigger to fire the 580 off-camera along with the slave flash. I am most probably going to pick up the ST-E2. For the second flash I am thinking of either the 220 EXii or the 430 EXii. Since I will hardly use the flash on-camera (and already have a 580 in case of emergency) I wanted to find out if the ST-E2 system will trigger the 220 EXii via infrared?? If yes, then should I go for the 220 or the 430?
