Hi Guys,

I've been posting quite a few images at PhotoSig (for those who've not been there, it's a site for sharing and getting critique on your photo's) for a while now - I've finally got one that's scored over 100 points... seemed like a bit of a milestone to me, but I wonder if some of you would cast an eye over it, and maybe some of the other shots I've put up there... basically, I wonder if YOU think it's the best shot I've put up??

The picture is at:

and my portfolio is at:

Cheers,
Stuart

Don't know if it's the best one, but a very good one. Glanced at the other pics. Boy, you must love that framing with part of the subject sticking out. Too many in my view. Check the corners (upper right and lower left) of your panorma. Your macro's are great!

Very good image, Stuart, Well done.

Remarkable depth considering that you used +4 dioptre.

Color saturation and clarity are excellent.

I would like to see you subdue or remove the bright spot
just above the top right petal, the smaller dot just above that
and the double dot above that right on the border of the pic.

These are distractions once one has seen them.

A very fine image, and one that you can be justifiably proud to have created.

I love the sharpness, color, DOF, & shapes. Oops would love the square format. But, I really would like to see alternate images shot under more dramatic lighting. .

Is it your best (an here I am trying to recall from memory your past posts)? Maybe. That said, it is not you most memorable image. Your "crabby" son wins that prize.

Maybe I am being too tough on flower close-ups. As I see it, the G2's macro mode makes all flowers look great!

Its just a flower. Thats all it is to me. All i got to say is nice colors, very vibrant and saturated. The photo of "the beach" in my opinion much better.

Very nice. Really like that all parts of flowers are in sharp focus. Not perfect (few light spots in upper right are distracting), but I gave you 3TU on PhotoSig. What's your method to get so many critiques? I usually add to Photosig late at night (EST) and I'm lucky to get 6 or 7 critiques.
