Our granddaughter grabbed the Canon point and shoot to take some pictures. She is 6 and has already learned the fine art of chimping....and she doesn't look real pleased with the results...

You could almost have a caption competition for that picture.
I reckon it's "darn, do I really need +2/3 FEC to get any flash image exposed correctly"

Since the LCD is used as a viewfinder on PS cameras,

Yup. I believe chimping is the viewing after the fact and derives it's name from the noise generally associated with groups of primates watching humans take pictures at the zoo.:lol:
And besides, this particular model PS camera does have a view finder....
