Hello, My name is Chris I am new here. I am new to digital post processing, I seem to get portraits to come out good but suck at landscapes and other photos without people in them. Here is an example of a hazy photo and my best attempts to get it right using Elements 2.0 and DPP. Shot with the DRebel and Nikkor 135mm @f/8. I feel totaly at a loss of where to begin with photos like these, I played with the levels and dodged the plane a tad...

Please give advice/recomendations and be as detailed as possible...

Thanks

-Chris

I use the USM to correct haze. its called Local Contrast Enhancement.
I use it on most of my shots.
read about it here:
