I missed that one during my first "sweep" through the falls because it was listed 30 feet in hight and I guessed from the picture it was more like a 10' - 15' one. But with the hint I couldn't miss it. :)

There is a huge difference in "looks" between Singapore and Hong Kong Airport so it should not be too difficult.

You got it, Tony! Yes the new ( 1998 ) HK Airport (Lap Kok) is all wide open, steel girders and cloth sheets to dampen the noise. The shot was taken from the Cathay Pacific business class lounge looking towards the centre.
Singapore is older, more enclosed and more "yellowish and blue" in its colour scheme.
For my first visit to HK back in 1992 we still landed at Kai Tak (Kowloon) and that was a scary experience... :) Last year november we passed through HK again and that was far more pleasant.

Yeah, I remember Singapore as being more closed-in, not to mention the ever-present guys with automatic rifles, both in the airport and at the border crossing to Malaysia -- a little disconcerting for someone from the US!
I don't have a good shot on hand, so I'll leave it to Sir Plug for narrowing it down or leave it OPEN!

Yes, I've made that approach into Kai Tak. I remember looking out the window of the 747 and you could see people sitting in their offices typing. Seemed like the wingtips were 10 feet from the buildings. Very scary.

Randy's instincts - Sherlock Holmes's or not - are spot on. This is a Bistro in Boulcott St. Wellington. It is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in the town - but I haven't eaten there. :( The house is also - or may be better - known as "Plimmer House", a Victorian mansion built in 1876 by John Plimmer, the "Father of Wellington".

And I'm seeing that the infrastructure is so damaged that aid ships and planes can't even get there to help. Terrible.
