I personally thought Mexico was part of Central America too but I had to look it up to make sure.

Actually, not damaged at all in this photo -- just very old and weathered. Note that this photo is about 5 years old and the building has been refurbished a bit since, but still recognizable.

I didn't answer the New Orleans question, but it was to avoid confusion. My technically-correct answer would have been "not post-Katrina New Orleans" (this is a pre-Katrina photo). But if people took that to mean "not New Orleans" then everyone would be off on a wild goose chase. I figured someone would catch the omission and ask again.

Between the Katrina question and the east/west/north/south of the Mississippi question, this was tough to keep on track.

Spot on, Sean. The big bell is part of a churchyard with the chapel for the Fortress in the centre. The whole church is surrounded with a fence constructed of cannon and anchor chain.

Over to you!

Thanks Henk. That was a good one - now I know all about the Finnish Winter War (and a bunch of other blind alleys). I'll have another up in a few minutes.

I'm not sure how long this one will last, but here's my wife, kids and me at a place of special significance. ;) It's eight years ago, and we were treated like royalty in the giftshop.

Technically speaking this breaks Tom's first rule, because my father in law took the picture, but it was with my first digital camera - an Olympus P&S with a whopping 2.1MP, that was later stolen (a few months later) at Disneyworld. :(

Anyhow, WAIN ?
