All I can say is that, normally, and for the purposes of this game, the answer to 'Spain?' (when applied to the Canary Islands) is normally 'yes' - leading to a subsequent question of 'Mainland Spain?'. It happens a lot in WAIN.

You got it. At least it was a little harder than my first one.

Why two Bridges? Actually there have been 3 or 4...
1. Wooden roadway on the steel structure. A__hole threw a cigarette on it one night in May 1959.
2. Temporary arm Baily type bridge at bottom of canyon that the lumber mill bought at the war surplus store while they replaced the steel that bent under the heat of the fire.
3. New concrete roadway on the steel structure.
4. In the '80s they built and ugly all concrete bridge beside the old one. I have a picture but it really Iis ugly.

More than you wanted to know.

With the greatest respect Henk - if you know that you are going to be out for many hours and/or going to bed immediately, would it not be fairer to let someone else post, to avoid holding up the game for hours? Just a thought.

You mean leaving it open to the first taker? ;)

I think Paul is close enough. The official name of the establishment seems to be "German Arms Hotel".

Sorry for the delay but at the time I posted I thought I would be away for about three hours somewhere in between (and that was while you guys (with the exception of Jim) were all in bed... :) But our neighbours hospitality was such that it took a while longer to get home.

Over to you Paul!

Cheers, Henk....working nights means I'm on your time zone, too!
