Nope, matters the check in hand!

BTW, I do this with my covers but I try to get the PDF of it and get a nice print of it. Some mags will send it along and others won't.

Nice job! My first goal was a local newspaper and it was a great feeling to see the shot on the front page w/byline AND to get a check. Now I need to put effort into getting a mag cover. Heck, even an inside pic would be nice, along with a check.
