Have got my first wedding in october, fairly low budget, any advice welcome.
Using 40d 24-70, 70-300, 17-40, and 580ex11 flash.

Get (rent) a second body and a 70-200 2.8 L IS (and another flash if you can), use the 70-200 on one body and the 24-70 on the other. Don't bother with the 70-300 (it's too slow a lens for weddings). The 17-40 will be handy for wider shots. Lots of memory will be needed - 20+ gigabytes spread across a few cards, shoot RAW, spare batteries for the cameras and flashes.

And don't panic!! ;)

Oh, and welcome to POTN :D

Yes, the 'don't panic' advice is good. IF it can be remembered.

Simon - do a search here and you will find tons of advice. Do your homework - not sure if you have a low budget or the wedding is low budget - but weddings are serious business- one of the most important days of a couple's lives-- one that a girl looks forward to -- please don't screw this up!
