Wow! Those are crazy shots! What is the backstory here? Why no engine, etc?

Whilst the whole car isn't burning, something was on fire. The guy wasn't aware at first!

I assume you mean the burnout car I posted as the first is on blocks with no engine!
The ones I posted didn't blow up in those shots, they just put out whatever was burning and off he went. He did come back later in the night for another burnout and DID blow up the engine, no fire this time, just the costly bang of internal components suddenly becoming external components...

Expensive night for him!

I am on the Fire Safety Team at Phoenix International Raceway and these were some shots I got when we had a fire safety training session last February.

It is designed to train personel to put out fuel fires on NASCAR series vehicles.
