rebel xt - iso 1600 quality

the latest pop photo rates the quality of iso 1600 pics as low. it says its much lowered when compared to the 20d.

anyone have sample images? i heard that due to the same sensors and setup, the quality is similiar or almost identical.

any comments?

The sensors are not the same so the results will be different.
