His scientific name is "Tyto Alba", to photograph it as you see it here is quite difficult, hide its nests carefully, but I had the opportunity and I did not waste, you can here see it defending it the nest. To make the photo was almost impossible, because this to about 6 meters of the ground in a wall where there was nothing no to raise to me, in addition, the camera entered right by the hollow and the flash gave in the superior part preventing me to focus well, but I hope that you enjoy this shot and this beautiful animal

Thank you very much by the commentaries, in fact I was able to do an authentic news article to him, because once I was able to do the first photo I could see that in the interior of the hole it had its young, and therefore the strange sounds that it emitted were of defense, for that reason I understood that it was not going to leave the nest and I put myself to throw photos to him (40) had never seen so close by this animal that in my country (Extremadura, Spain) is abundant but almost impossible here to see, because single they go out at night and they make its nests in inaccessible sites, I have had much luck! I leave another image you, to enjoy!

That is a beautifull picture.
I have tried many times to take a pictire of our local Barn (screach) owl with no luck at all.
Thank you for sharing this.....

This is a common situation for wildlife photographers. You are about 20 feet below your subject, and you have no really good way of getting up there. This is particularly common for birds.

Once in a great while, we will climb a tree to get the shot. Of course, when you've got several pounds of camera dangling around you, tree climbing is pretty awkward. I've used ropes and stuff to get up there to the nest, but then lining up the shot can be awkward. This is true also since we do not want to disturb the wild animals. We want to get up there, take the shot, and get the hell out of there before the adult bird attacks us.

I am not going to carry some 20-pound aluminum ladder around with me, just in case I run into something. What I need is a ladder solution that is very light in weight.
