I will re-process the last three if I use them, my photoshopping has advanced a lot since then.
If anyone has the time, it'd be great if they could have a quick browse through the sports and motorsports section on my site (clicky sig) and suggest alternatives to ones I've posted here.
Thanks a lot
Tom.

I have looked on your site a couple of times. I think passing off track days as sport is pushing it somewhat as they are by no stretch of the imagination competitive. From the above, 6 and 9 are fine but you have either wrongly cropped or misframed the others (can't tell), where the image is incomplete (half a ball or half a person missing).
To be a member of any organisation such as SportsShooter (very little to no value in the UK by the way) I would imagine you would need a better portfolio.
I don't normally critique, but I assume by your straight question you wanted a straight opinion, and it is after all just my opinion, others may differ.

I have to say that I don't always agree with Kenny but I don't think this is a very strong portfolio. I really like images 1 & 7, and I'm not entirely sure what you need for the application but the other images don't really do it for me - but Basket ball is very much an 'American' sport, and I think there are stronger images on your website
And before anybody starts - I know it played world wide but it doesn't have the same interest here in the UK as it does in the USA

Hi guys, thanks for the great critique, it has helped me a lot.
I have re-chosen 10 shots, do you think these are any stronger? I will apply with these I think and if I get rejected, nothing lost, will build up a stronger portfolio and re-apply:

In your first post to this thread you said you had a sponsor for a ss membership. Mistake me of I'm wrong but I though once you had a sponsor you no longer had to send in a portfolio to get accepted in.
I really like #1, excellent image. If i was going to keep #2 I would crop way tighter. Althoughthe picture is exposed properly and the like, its not a hard picture to capture if you will. Not to be mean, but he is at the free throw line getting ready to shoot, its very difficult to capture that kind of picture. I really like #3,4,and 5, definite keepers. #6 once again not a difficult image to capture but if youre gonna keep it crop of the left and top. #7 WOW excellent image, if i was you I might start off my portfolio with either this image or #8. Im not a motorsports shooter but I'll give my critique on 9 and 10. #9 great action and I love the reflection off the side of the car. # 10 is a very strong picture, really like the blur, reminds me of a poster that ive seen before. Hope my critique is somewhat useful.

I don't critique shots often either, but since it's asked for
I'll comment on the motorsport shots shown in your original post here. #1 shows too much blur for my taste (I know that's probably what you were going for - it's just not for me) #3 suffers from bad reflections and to be honest, is a fairly ordinary pan shot. #2 is technically very good but it's only an Elise and it would have been better taken from a lower angle.
On your gallery, try and get some shots with more than one car in the frame. Racing shots are better when they show racing...

I don't know much about sportsshooter.com. (Sorry in advance if I'm sounding harsh)
So it's hard to crique, but just from a standpoint in talking to professionals and in the learning process of building a portfolio, your folio needs lots of work. It's very narrow and doesn't show your range of skills. It shows potential, but you don't have much in there.
