I can't see the original subject because it has been edited, but does this concern accidentally fitting an umbrella bracket to its stand upside-down, then wondering why you can't alter the angle of the umbrella?
If so, that's exactly what I did with mine when I first got it! I was looking at it thinking I had got the wrong one before I realized what I had done!

^^^ Well if that's so you guys are one step ahead of me , when I got my first Light stand and Bracket Kit . There was this Round white plastic thingy on my stand that prevented me from even getting my Bracket on the stand , After much twisting and turning I took it off and the stand just popped on , I then after a phone call to a friend found out it's to Protect the threading on the stand and had to be removed .

I didn't put the adapter on the stand, just looked at it and was wondering why the umbrella mount hole is below the swivel handle. I had a long day at work...after posted this post I stared at the adapter for a while and basically laughed out loud at myself.

 That's good enough! That counts as an honorary upside-down stand installation!
