I'm gonna have to go with you guys on this one, when I read the title I was expecting something totally different.

i like the setup, but wish she was looking up at the camera or at least in the general direction so you could see her whole face.

I agree. This would be fabulous if she was just looking at the camera with a hint of a smile.

Jeepers peepers holy creepers... is this shot taken seconds before she jumped up and ran away from the bug in the grass?

The colors look a little muted and it would be nice to know what she was looking at. Fine aside from that.

To be honest, and because you asked; it lacks interest.

Elements commonly associated with great photography - like contrast, leading lines, texture, composition - are kind of missing. Of course I don't want to rain on your parade and perhaps a more important question is "what do YOU think of it and why?" Yes, that's two, so let me prod you then to ask a third of yourself: how could you take a photograph that more clearly tells those emotions and thoughts you answered in questions 1 and 2? Sometimes folks in this forum, while very encouraging, seem to shy from saying "actually the photo could have been way better." Yes, it's in focus, and yes it is pretty well exposed, but surely you hope for more than that from your photographs.

A few specific thoughts because what I wrote above sounds critical and a little too enigmatic.

1. I can't see her eyes, which might be the effect you are going for, but if so it is not intentional enough.
2. There's nothing of interest to make me look twice. It is merely a picture of a nondescript person (except to you, I realize, but even then it doesn't say much about her does it?)
3. The background is neutral and boring and competes for visual attention with the subject.
4. Try moving in really close and shooting this woman again. Get her eyes, her face, or her hands. Tell us a story or make us ask questions.

Don't be afraid to experiment, but fear being boring.

I hope this was helpful.

I understand your point here, but that's what the Critique Corner forum is for, really. These forums in the "Photo Sharing" section are just for sharing and getting comments on, primarily.

Also, since it was brought up several times, could you explain what the title's significance is?

You do have a point there, I suppose. However, using a more descriptive title and actually asking for critiques or otherwise annotating your post would help a lot with getting the kind of feedback you're looking for as well.
