My first real time trying some semi-glamour shots of my wife. Your critques and criticism is, as always, appreciated.

I had it on Portrait mode for the most part. I am still learning the ropes and haven't got all of the features memorized yet.

what time were you taking the pics? Your wife is squinting pretty bad in one of them. might want to turn her away from the sun. keep shooting.

It was about 2 in the afternoon, but heavily overcast. The sun was just bright enough to be a problem.

Beautifully composed. Congratulations, you have a beautiful lady.
I would reduce the color balance on the yellows on 1 and 3
Regards

Ok, I adjusted the yellow down a little bit, but too much darkens the pic more than I want. Enough?

If you replaced the original pic, it's hard to tell...but...it's looking better...yes.

Except for the first, the eyes are too dark, part of which may be that she tends to tilt her head down. Perhaps a white card or fill flash to create a catchlight in her eye. I'd also keep the glasses out of the mouth. You are certainly right that she is lovely but I'm not sure you need to put that in the title. And, of course, if she doesn't enjoy posing/being looked at, then it will be very difficult to work on your technique. Phew, after all that I need to point out that you have done better than 90% of what I did at first ... and I haven't gotten any better at glamour/nudes at all. :-) So, do another set and put them in the critique folder and brace yourself.

Thanks for the advice, it is appreciated!
I know the eyes were darker than they should be, and I tried to correct for that, but I don't have a flash other than the one on the camera (Next planned purchase). Is there a way to direct the flash to go off for each shot no matter what the light meter says?
As for her posing for me, it is not quite as painful as pulling teeth, but it is not easy to convince her. She doesn't like being in front of the camera. I working on her though. :D
The glasses shot was one of a couple that was her fooling around. It came out better than most of the posed shots so I kept it.

I like the backgrounds in 3 and 4. It would be nice if we could see more of her eyes. Nice shots and she is a lovely lady. Try one with her hair down. . . just a quirk of mine. . . :D

Nice shots and indeed very Lovely. As for additonal lighting without a fill flash try using a white matte card board angle up from the ground this will reflect some soft light up.

Aptly titled. I cannot offer constructive criticism since I am terrible at portraits. I can see that you were fighting a problem with lighting. Keep slugging, You'll improve.
