Hi, I would like some comments on this photo, and some help in using Gimp. I took it yesterday on a trip to a castle close to my town, on the way back to the car my doughter saw a mother carying a baby and she freezed and adored the 2 month old.

The main reason why I post it is that I need some tip on how to lift up her eyes a bit more. I would like to do it the same way as a friend of mine did on PS. By making a layer and using that to lighten up only the eye. That should be possible to do on Gimp to, but I am not able to do it without geting the whole picture lighter. Anyow, any tip on editing eyes with Gimp would be very much appreciated.

I am mostly satisfied with this picture, but would have wished to have a wider lens at that moment, to get some more space above her head. When I watch it here I also see that the upper part of her hair should have been darker..

(whops deleted the flickr photo... I am new to this. uploaded a new one and it is one that is edited)http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3508/3818192546_03eef43247_b.jpg

I think this is a great shot! What don't you like about the eyes? If you lighten them up, it might appear obvious.

I would crop a tiny bit of the dead space on the right. Not too much because she is looking in that direction and you don't want her looking at the edge of the image.

Nice capture Kent, I would not change anything.

Thanks for youre comment, Josef, It's half a year since I posted this photo now. Surpiced to find that someone find it afther so long time. Two days is enough to get youre post ending into cyber space in this forum, 6 month on this thread, well thats thousands of post to dig in before anyone look at it again. For anyone to then comment, well... this was a suprice. Thanks

"Wunderbar" works fine.
