Morning Swim

I spotted this family as I was driving down the road early this morning. Managed to stop and get a few shots. There was a light mist over the water, more visible on some other shots.

I like the photo even though it's a little soft. Also, I think some of the water needs to be cropped out so the subjects stand out better. The colors and reflections are very nice. Good capture all around! I also invite critique on my critique!

Yeah. I think I would crop the left side and quite a bit of water from the bottom.

I think that would draw you into the picture more.

Wouldn't it be nice to be one of those wealthy folk on the site with a HUGE L series lens?

I was wondering about the crop, I will try that. One reason it might appear soft is there was a slight mist over the water at that time. See this:

I like the feel of the mist on the water, but might sharpen the birds a touch.
