I would appreciate some feedback and I have gone over the rules, but im still kinda confused as to what is considered G&N and would be a regular photo. I do want to follow the rules not to offend anybody, so here is the background...

I go to a lot of car shows ( lowriders ) and ofcourse there are several models posing with folks and on thier cars and even spectators who want pictures with a particular car. Now some of these girls are with tight pants or short shorts and regular shirt struting off their stuff while others are there with shorter shorts and maybe a holster or bra type shirt on. Where is the line drawn? I havnt posted a picture and im not sure if a link here is ok, but i do have a picture that started me on this thinking process.

Please advise, thanks!

:o

Have you read this page: G&N Image Rules (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=91084) From what it sounds like, your images will be fine to post in G&N. The forum is glamour AND nude(always tastful,) but it doesn't sound like there is any nudity in your images.

booth babes and car show girls are def not glamour and nude candidates. those belong in People or Transportation shots if its girls with cars.

Yes I have read all the rules ( about 4 different links I had to follow ) and was still a little confused. My pictures never have any nudity, but I guess it can be considered Glamour. I was inquiring more about posting on the outside of the G&N forum

Here is a link if you wish to view and honestly I would recomend in order to get me the best answer

Would this be acceptable in any forum/topic outside of G/N area?

Thanks again for your time!

The issue is what level of skimpy outfit is acceptable for the people and transportation forums. I checked out you image(really nice btw) and if it were my image, I would post in G&N.

So can you see my confusion.

Yes. I guess they could be posted in either(trying NOT to confuse you!). Most of the images of models and cars though are usually posted in G&N. That's where I was coming from. :D

Thanks for the comment and the suggestion. I have been taking pictures like this for years, but only recently have my eye and technique on these type of pictures either has gotten better or IMHO Im actually using them both :D

Now I would like to get some feedback and again which started my confusion.

Glamour is the concept of making the person look glamorous, beautiful, and concentrating on that aspect of the shoot. Nude is obvious, but if the goal of the image is to portray the model as glamorous and desireable, then it would fit into glamour.

Essentially, if any nudity is involved (implied or otherwise) it definitely belongs in G&N. If the model is in a swimsuit or other revealing outfit, it's more the intent of the image that matters - a shot of a group of girls playing volleyball at the beach, more people or sport than glamour. A group of young women posing with a volleyball at the beach, that's probably more glamour than people.

Mods do consider member intent (when we can figure it out) in determining whether an image fits into a particular category.

Well put and good point! Im not sure if this was just put together or if you got it from another source, but it is good info to have around, thanks!

So it does appear my pics are more G&N then anything else. I do appreciate all the input and if others have more to add please do!

Here are two more pics to lasty cofirm my confusion that all these shot are considered G&N and not poeple. I feel I have a good understanding and thats what i was looking for. Thanks again!

Thats how we the moderation team see it arond here. Don't know if this is a general definition.

And this just information for all (including new members that migth read this later). Remember if your first intent was to put it in G&N but can't because of the access restriction. Then do NOT go post it in people instead because if your first intent was that is should have gone in G&N then it most likely belong there and nowhere else. If in doubt contact any moderator and ask before posting. Posting G&N material in any other forum than G&N can result in access privilege removed for those that have it and denied early access for those that don't have but would likt it.

That's why I love this place! Lots of help and good info! I never considered any of my work glamor and even though it still may not be it does feel like a promotion...hahaha.

Thanks again all!
