thanks for the comments!

-first i took the colored picture....then desaturated it so it will be black and white.
-then i took the History Brush, set the opacity to around 50, then colored the parts i wanted to have color.
Voila! simple as that.

the grey green and pink go beautiful together.

maybe crop a little off the darkness to the right of the rose
it will also bring the rose out of the centre of the picture
