I don't know what these are, but I caught them fooling around in my yard. I would call someone to complain, but I didn't know who to call, so I shot them. . . . ;)

That's unreal. I cannot find that bug online for anything. It looks like some kind of wasp but Ive never heard of amy red and blue wasps before.
MAybe you've discoved a new species!

I was pretty amazed when I saw them flying together. At first I thought they were love bugs, but it's not the season for them here. They did look like a wasp, but I haven't ever seen wasps that colorful. I have no idea what they are.

They are moths that mimic wasps, I belive they are in the family Sesiidae. Very cool, see them in the tropics a lot.
