I haven't had many chances to photograph my car since I've had my DRebel, so today I figured I'd give it a try. I was fairly pleased with this shot even though it's kind of generic, but if any of you have suggestions feel free to let me know because I'm always looking to improve! :)

Nice shot, good lighting and location, and nice Camino :D

Were you using a reflector of any type? Try throwing some light on the grill (makes it come out a bit more) using a reflector (can be home made with cardboard and one of those windshield heat shield things. Not neccesarily needed here, but it might've helped bring out the emblem. Great job and MUCH better than I could do (and much nicer car than my '70 Skylark)

Thanks Eric! :) I actually thought about making some sort of reflector, but it was getting late and I was lazy.

Great car. And great picture! :D

At last, a coupe with a nice trunk.

And the colour really fits the epoch of the car.

Best regards,
Andy

That is a very cool shot! I am dying to take more shots of my car now that I have learned a bit more about my camera and photography. Looks like I found someone who can give me some tips when it is time!

Nice shot - Is that a '73? I can't remember my car ages like I used to.

Excellent shot, excellent colors. My only suggestion is to crop the bottom some

Excellent shot, excellent colors. My only suggestion is to crop the bottom someI don't think it needs that. As it is presently the car is almost perfectly centered and the ground is a pretty nice ground with the weeds growing like that. The picture is El Ca-Perfect and and cropping would most likely change it.

Cool! '72 eh? I've an XU-1 the same age. (a what?? - think Vauxhall Viva with a nose-job and a couple more cylinders) love the feel of the shot.

Thanks again everyone for the ego boost. I assure you the car looks a lot better in pictures than in person, but I stil love my car. :D BTW, I used the kit lens for this one in case anyone was wondering.

Mine was a 71 SS. I sold it a couple years ago, and now your shot is making me miss it. (sniff sniff) :(

I have missed my '69 El Camino 350SS ever since I sold it in 1986.

Thanks for the memory jog.

Oh, and nice pic!
