We had quite a big storm here in Perth early hours of this morning. The first shot is the front of my house...luckily only 2 tree's down, and no damage to the house.

This shot is the park at the end of my street..tree's are down everywhere and all over the roads.

This shot is a house in the next street over from mine.. I couldnt get any closer because the repair crew have blocked off the road..But the tree has actually crashed right thru a solid brick fence and right thru the back of the house.

Nothing fantastic about the shots themselves...just thought I would show the damage in my area.

That looks nasty. I hope no one was hurt and that the damage will be repaired soon. Here we are now in the tornado season. Should one of those come by the landscape looks like it was hit by a combination of a road roller and a vacuum cleaner. I don't know if you have tornadoes in Perth. If not you are lucky.

As far as I know, no one has been hurt. But there is over 10,000 homes without any power/electricity at the moment. Luckily I am not one of them! When I took the kids to school there were street signs and posts down everywhere and majority of traffic lights are out, which will cause some major drama! A few schools have been closed due to damage.
BDM, No we dont have tornado's over here, but I have seen on T.V the damage they can cause as well!

sorry to hear of such a storm Sandi
in the first picture the beautiful tree in your garden looks so sad , to have fallen over after years of getting to that stage http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_cry.gif
sad about the other trees down (and property damaged) also
glad no one seems to have been injured
what a sight for you all to see when you were out and about eventually

Yes its been quite amazing that no one has been hurt. From what Ive seen on the news, the damage around the place is alot worse that what I have shown! Some houses and schools are totally gone! Thanks to everyone for your comments...much apprecitated!

Wow Sandi,
That kind of reminds me of the damage here in Central Florida from the four hurricanes last year. It is frightening what mother nature can do. Now we are just two weeks from starting the storm season again. . ugh!
Glad you got out of it ok.

WOW Sandi, fantastic shots, glad to hear not to much damage to your property, trees can always be replanted by houses are quite different. They just announced over on the USA east coast that our hurricane season, which starts June 1st, is going to be above normal for activity. May be a tough year for some.

That must be so freaky to actually have a hurricane season! You know its coming but nothing you can really do about it hey. If this is what they call a mini tornado I would hate to see what you guys go thru!!

Ive just been out the back picking up toys etc... we are about to be hit by another big storm. The news is saying it's another big one, on par with the one we had a few days days ago. Hopefully all will be ok..but if you dont see me posting for a day or so then Ive probably lost power/electricity Lol.
