Niagara Falls #1

These pictures were taken at Niagara Falls on the Canadian side last weekend. The first picture shows the American Falls (US) on the left and part of the Horseshoe Falls (Canada) on the right. To the left of the American Falls is the Rainbow Bridge which spans the Niagara river between the USA and Canada.

The bottom picture shows the "Maid of the Mist" tour fairy boat travelling towards the base of the Horseshoe Falls at the same speed as the water flowing in the opposite direction so that the boat seems to be standing stationary in the rough and churning water.

You can get soem amazing shots on the maid of the mist, just gets a little wet down there;)

That is a cool ride. I took my Elan IIe a few years ago on that boat. Used a ziplock bag, covered everything up except the lens and cut slits for the strap. It still fogged over but I did get some nice shots before the total white out. Awesome ride, would recomend it to anyone going there.
I wouldn't recommend it for a digital slr though unless it's a sealed body and lens.
