In "Niagara Falls #1", I attached two pictures which as a part of the Horseshoe Falls showing, the part closest to the US side. Below is the other part of Horseshoe Falls closest to the Canadian side.

Great shot, is it two pics stitched together? That damn fog always gets in the way eh.

Actually, no, it's not. It's an APS-style pano ;) , i.e. I cropped out part of the sky and part of the foreground which didn't add anything to the overall picture.

Yes, the mist does get in the way, doesn't it. The straight shot was even worse with most of the details of the falls being lost in the mist. I actually ended up converting the image to LAB and replacing the Lightness channel with that of the Red channel to recovery the details of the falls itself.

Wow...that is freaky that you can get so close to the falls! Cool shot!

beautiful shot Leo, looks like a painting or even one of those old hand colored post cards you see. Nicely done.

I've been to Niagara falls, and it IS awesome to actually stand just a few feet from all that water rushing over the falls. It's also neat to take a ride on the "Maid of the Mist" a boat which takes you up close to the bottom of the falls.

Great shot! I've taken the maid of the mist tour a couple times and its really cool to go right up to the falls. Also the cave of the winds tour is certainly worthwhile if you're there.
